How to sideload apps on Fire TV Stick that are not available on the official Amazon Appstore, such as Kodi, YouTube, and Peacock

How to Sideload Apps on Fire TV Stick that are not available on the official Amazon Appstore, such as Kodi, YouTube, and Peacock.

If you own a Fire TV Stick, you may be wondering how to install apps that are not available on the official Amazon Appstore. These apps may offer features or content that you can't find on the default apps, such as Kodi, YouTube, and Peacock. In this blog post, we will show you how to sideload apps on your Fire TV Stick using a simple method that does not require a computer or a phone.

Sideload Apps on Fire TV Stick using Downloader

The easiest way to sideload apps on your Fire TV Stick is to use an app called Downloader, which you can download for free from the Amazon Appstore. Downloader allows you to download and install APK files (Android application packages) from any source on the internet. Here are the steps to follow:

1. On your Fire TV Stick home screen, go to Settings > My Fire TV > Developer Options and enable Apps from Unknown Sources. This will allow you to install apps from outside the Amazon Appstore. You will see a warning message, but you can ignore it and select Turn On.

2. Go back to the home screen and use the search function to look for Downloader. You can also use Alexa voice search by holding the microphone button on your remote and saying "Downloader".

3. Select Downloader from the search results and download it. Once it is installed, open it and grant it the necessary permissions.

4. On the Downloader home screen, you will see a URL field where you can enter the web address of the APK file you want to download. For example, if you want to sideload Kodi, you can enter https://kodi.tv/download and select Go.

5. You will see a list of Kodi versions for different platforms. Select Android and then choose the ARMV7A (32-bit) option. This is compatible with most Fire TV Stick models.

6. Wait for the Kodi APK file to download and then select Install when prompted. You can also choose Done if you want to delete the APK file after installation.

7. Repeat steps 4 to 6 for any other app you want to sideload, such as YouTube or Peacock. You can find the APK files for these apps on websites like APKMirror or Aptoide.

8. Once you have installed all the apps you want, you can access them from your Fire TV Stick home screen under Your Apps & Channels. You may need to scroll right and select See All to view all your apps.

That's it! You have successfully sideloaded apps on your Fire TV Stick that are not available on the official Amazon Appstore. Enjoy using these apps and exploring their features and content. However, be careful when downloading APK files from unknown sources, as they may contain malware or viruses that can harm your device or compromise your privacy. Always use a trusted source and scan the files before installing them.
